A business license authorizes the licensee to transact business at the location designated on the license. Per the City of Lancaster Municipal Code Title 5, Chapter 5.04 - Business Licenses and Regulations, it is unlawful for a person to transact any business in the City without first having obtained a business license. The Business Support Center will also offer a variety of online support options allowing for filing and paying of business license online as well as obtaining copies of forms and other relevant information.

HdL Business Support Center will provide the business community with the support for all aspects including application, payment, certificate issuance, and general support for your business needs. The City has contracted with the HdL Companies to provide assistance to the business community for all of their business license needs. Effective July 1, 2019, we are pleased to announce some changes to our business licensing procedures that are designed to streamline the process for remitting fees to the City.
